Word has it that my favorite Travel Channel star Samantha Brown is in town filming a weekend special on Charleston and Savannah. (Why we have to share the honors with our neighbor is a mystery … but still exciting.) The perky traveler participated in a fox hunt at Middleton yesterday. Keep your eye out for her around the ton.

Bourdain did a fox hunt in Charleston too. I think that’s a little silly that they both did. Hopefully she will dine somewhere that’s not a tourist trap.
She worked out with the Citadel’s Army Unit this morning.
She went out with the The Middleton Place Hounds on a formal drag hunt Tuesday afternoon. She was turned out very well in formal hunt attire & rode a beautiful, experienced horse belonging to & alongside one of the Joint Masters. Although she is not an experienced equestrienne, she did a great job of keeping up & staying on the horse, while maintaining a great sense of humor. At one point her crew wanted her to take a jump, but smartly she declined. She jokingly commented that she was perhaps as concerned with breaking the hunt protocol & rules of Southern Society than the actual riding. However, she was great all around. Not the least bit of a diva & very personable to all. She also reported that she did a shoot playing polo in the area. Not sure when the show will air, but it was a beautiful day & of course Middleton is always gorgeous backdrop whatever the pursuit.
