Fashion Week 2009 is gearing up already with model casting this Saturday (Nov. 15) from 2-5 p.m. at the Art Institute (get out there, beautiful people). In other fashion news, Cynthia Rowley (designer to the stars and Target dinnerware diva) is opening a new boutique on King Street next week, and she will be at the opening — I’ll give you an update on that next week. Get your local fashion fix by checking out our cover story on some local designers who tried out for Project Runway. Oh, and for anyone who’s wondering, I contacted several other designers who auditioned, some who made it further in the process, but I did not hear back from them. Below, designer Megan Waldrep, who inspired the story.
